Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) constitutional bench has summoned finance secretary KP, secretary works department and secretary education in person in suo motu notice case regarding plight of government schools in KP.The court adjourned hearing of case till November 28.The court remarked this is problem of entire Pakistan. Project takes 10 years.Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar remarked we can not wrap up case unless we become satisfied.The suo motu notice case on plight of government schools in KP came up for hearing before SC constitutional bench Thursday.Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar remarked how many schools have become functional so far after SC orders.Additional Attorney General (AAG) KP said 463 schools are functional so far.Justice Musarrat Hilali remarked we summon education secretary who will tell how many schools have become functional so far.Counsel for KP government said 60 schools are complete in Mansehra, Abbottabad and Torkham. 30 to 40 schools are complete by 75 percent. Project is n ot being completed for want of funds.Justice Jamal Mandokhail remarked who provides funds. Why funds are not being provided.The court remarked it is problem of entire Pakistan. Project takes 10 years.Counsel for KP government requested the court to wrap up case .Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar remarked we cannot wrap up case unless we are satisfied.Hearing of the case was adjourned for two months.
