Islamabad: The process of scrutiny of nomination papers in connection with Local Bodies (LB) polls in Islamabad has been completed.

The process of filing appeals against the decisions of acceptance or rejection of nomination papers will start from today.

According to media report Election Commission (EC) has imparted one day training to monitoring team for L B polls.

As per sources 22 officers of monitoring team were briefed about election code of conduct regarding election campaign.

The monitoring staff was briefed on election law, possible violations and powers.

According to schedule the appeals related to acceptance or rejection of nomination papers can be filed till January 10.

Appellate authority will decide the appeals till January 12 to 15.

The revised list of the candidates will be published on January 16.

The nomination papers can be withdrawn till January 17.

The allotment of electoral symbols and list of final candidates will be issued on January 19.

LB polling will take place on February 15 in Islamabad and results will be compiled till February 16 to 19.
