Rawalpindi: Security Forces have foiled a major terror bid by taking timely action in Wana. Security forces have saved urban population in WANA and adjoining areas from likely major disaster due to its intelligence based operation.

The security forces destroyed the vehicle laden with explosive before it could be used in suicide attack in the area of WANA (Khawa, Khawa)

According to security sources the explosive material found in the vehicle was to be used in possible major terror attack. However the security forces ensured protection of life and property of innocent citizens with highly professional skill during the operation.

Security sources said that the security forces kept the suicide vehicle under continuous surveillance for three days and targeted it only after it had moved away from populated area.

According to sources explosive laden vehicle and motorcycle were destroyed due to successful operation by security forces. One khariji was sent to hell and five were injured.
