Security forces kill five terrorists in Lakki Marwat: ISPR

Islamabad: On 15 March 2026, Security Forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Lakki Marwat District, on reported presence of terrorists belonging to Indian Proxy.According to the statement issued by ISPR, during the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorist location and after an intense fire exchange, five terrorists were killed.Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed Indian sponsored terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorist found in the area, as the relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision 'Azm-e-Istehkam' (as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.Meanwhile President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehb az Sharif have lauded the security forces for killing five terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat.In their separate statements, they said the entire nation stands with Pakistan's Armed Forces in the war against terrorism.The President, in his statement, said the Indian-backed terrorists are involved in malicious attempts to harm Pakistan's peace.The Prime Minister, in his statement, said the security forces are achieving major successes against terrorism under vision Azm-e-Istehkam.
