Karachi: Sindh High Court (SHC) has sought progress report on the petitions in connection with recovery of missing persons. The petitions related to recovery of missing persons came up for hearing in SHC Thursday. Police presented report on missing citizens.
It was said in the report one Zartaj Wali among two citizens who had gone missing from Sirjani has returned to his home. The other citizen Saifur Rehman is still missing. The court inquired from investigation officer what progress has been made in the case so far. Investigation officer said information have been received about the second missing citizen. The second citizen will soon be recovered.
As per report the citizen who had gone missing from Guddap has returned safe to his home. The court wrapped up the petition about disappearance on recovery of the citizen. The counsel for the petitioner took the plea the case in respect of the citizen who has gone missing from Clifton is not being registered. Police called us for registration of FIR but they are writing the statement of their own sweet will.
The court remarked you should give statement in writing. Police will register the case according to your statement. The court while summoning progress report about the missing citizens till next hearing adjourned the hearing of the case till December 05.
The SHC issued notice to IG Sindh and others on the petition regarding recovery of builder Javed Iqbal and others. The petition seeking recovery of builder Javed Iqbal and others came up for hearing in SHC Thursday.
The counsel for the petitioner took the plea Javed Iqbal was in his office in Zamzama. 10 to 12 persons entered into Zamzama office .
Javed Iqbal was taken away by uniformed police and persons in plain clothes.
The local police station has refused to receive the petition. If Javed Iqbal,Tahir Ali and Abubakar have done some thing then they be presented in the court .
The court while issuing notice to IG Sindh and others sought reply till next hearing.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till November 28.
Federation, interior ministry, IG Sindh and others have been made respondents in the petition.
