Hangzhou: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is currently on an official visit to China, met senior Chinese corporate executives representing a number of important companies in Hangzhou on Saturday.
As part of his outreach to China's corporate sector, the Prime Minister met representatives of CATL, StarCharge and Xiuzheng Pharmaceutical Group, along with Sheng Huo Neng Yuan Ke Ji Company.
The Prime Minister met Agnes Siu, CEO of Sheng Huo Neng Yuan Ke Ji Company, where discussions focused on cooperation in the renewable energy sector. He highlighted the emerging renewable energy market in Pakistan and the government's policy measures to facilitate solar power and clean energy investment.
During his meeting with Executive President of CATL, Mr. Oscar Luo, discussions focused on cooperation in advanced batteries, energy storage and solar-linked solutions to support Pakistan's clean energy transition.
A separate meeting with Chairwoman of StarCharge Group, Ms. Danwei Shao, centered on electric vehicle charging infrastructure and smart mobility systems.
Mr. Xin Yuan, President of Xiuzheng Pharmaceutical Group, also called on the Prime Minister. Discussions covered pharmaceutical manufacturing, healthcare cooperation and investment opportunities in Pakistan's growing medical sector.
The meetings also discussed the potential for increasing investment, establishing manufacturing facilities and expanding existing facilities in Pakistan.
In all meetings, the Prime Minister highlighted the government's policies for ease of doing business in Pakistan and emphasized the importance of business-to-business cooperation between Pakistani and Chinese companies to further strengthen the existing fraternal ties between Pakistan and China.
