Islamabad: Sheikh Rashid , former interior minister and head of Awami Muslim League has been prevented from going abroad.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmad was going to Saudi Arabia for performance of Umrah.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmad said he was stopped at Islamabad Air Port from going to Saudi Arabia for performance of Umrah despite Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench order.

Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan had issued order in respect of him for going to Saudi Arabia for performance of Umrah. The copy of was provided to the respective institutions.

He said Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan had directed the respective officers strictly that no complaint should come;. Today I have been prevented from performing Umrah.

I will go to the court of Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan in connection with contempt of court.

He said two officers Abid and Tauqir said to me you cannot go to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah. They flatly refused to comply with high court orders.
