Siege , arson case of May 9 incident against PTI founder others : ATC adjourns hearing

ISLAMABAD: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad has adjourned till May 17 hearing of siege and arson case related to May 9 incident against PTI founder Imran Khan, former PTI leader Ali Nawaz Awan and others .Judge remarked this is not my court's case. I cannot decide . Acquittal pleas be filed after fulfilling legal requirements.These remarks were given by Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra on Monday.The case was heard by Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra of ATC Islamabad.Ali Nawaz Awan, Aamir Mughal and others appeared in the court along with their counsel Sardar Masroof advocate.Sardar Masroof advocate argued Asad Umar has been discharged from the case registered in police station Sangjani against him. We file acquittal pleas of other accused.The judge remarked this is not case of my court. I cannot decide. File acquittal plea after meeting legal requirements. The petition of 265-D cannot be filed unless copies are distributed and later charge is framed. If finding comes once on acquittal plea then the acq uittal plea for second time cannot be filed.Sardar Masroof advocate said about 40 accused have been discharged in the cases registered in Ramna police station.Later the court adjourned the hearing of the case till May 17.
