Sindh has no right to object over development projects of Punjab: Azma Bukhari

Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has said no dictation is needed on the use of floodwater from rivers and only flood water will be used in proposed canals project. .

Province neither needs instructions from any other province regarding use of flood water from rivers nor Sindh has any right to object over development projects of Punjab, she said this while talking to media men here Wednesday.

Only flood water will be utilized in proposed canal projects. It

will be put to beneficial use instead of letting it go to waste.

She indicated no canal has been constructed so far but efforts are underway for forging consensus.

However negotiations go ahead through talks rather than threats.

She underlined PPP is in power in Sindh since last 16 years but the problems of farmers are still the same what they were before 16 years.

If PPP says any thing misleading then we will not remain silent. Reply will be given to every statement.

Provincial agriculture minister said Punjab government gave record budget for the farmers. Farming community was exploited in the past.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz gave tractors, seeds and fertilizer to the farmers.
