Six suspected robbers held, vehicles, valuable seized

Mardan: The Mardan police have arrested six suspected robbers, including three members of inter-district robber and a car thief gang and recovered three cars, eight motorcycles, gold jewellery, watches, mobile phones and cash from their possession, said a senior police officer on Friday.

Addressing to a news conference, SP (Operation) Muhammad Qais Khan told that reports of incidents of robbery, car lifting and theft were being received in City Circle of which District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Zahidullah took stern notice.

He added that DPO constitute a special team to investigate the incidents and arrest the culprits and recover the stolen property.

He added that police arrested 03 members of inter-district robbery and car thief gang. The accused was identified as Nawaz son of Anwar Khan resident of Bajaur currently living at Sheikh Yasin Town Mardan, Sajjad son of Umar Hakeem resident of Bajaur, Jamil son of Javed resident of Amangarh Nowshera.

He added that police recovered 03 stolen cars, 01 motorcycle and 03 mobile phones from them. He added that the arrested accused also disclosed the names of their other accomplices who will be also arrested soon.

He added that City police arrested 02 accused Sahibzada son of Shamsuddin, resident of Atmanzai, Charsadda for stealing a motorcycle and doing robbers at house. He added that police recovered 5 tola of gold ornaments, 3 watchs and Rs 3, 70000 cash.

He added that police also arrested Khanzeb son of Alamzeb resident of Umarzai Charsadda and recovered 06 motorcycles stolen from different areas including Honda 125 motorcycle.
