Rawalpindi: Abdul Raheem Abdullah, Speaker of the People's Majlis of the Maldives, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS and CDF), at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.According to the statement issued by the ISPR, during the meeting, matters of mutual interest, including regional security and bilateral cooperation, were discussed. The COAS and CDF underscored the importance Pakistan attaches to its brotherly relations with the Maldives and reaffirmed commitment to further strengthening these ties for the mutual benefit of both countries.Abdul Raheem Abdullah appreciated Pakistan's constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability and expressed his desire to deepen bilateral engagement and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
