Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said special children too are children of nation.

It is responsibility of government to enable these children to stand in the society. Making them confident and self-sufficient is our duty.

He said this while addressing groundbreaking ceremony of Centre of Excellence for Autism at the Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Development Disorders in Islamabad Friday.

The PM said this centre will be established in one year.

He emphasized that it is government's responsibility to provide all possible resources to help children with special needs become self-sufficient. In this regard, he highlighted the importance of vocational and technical training, as well as the provision of the latest gadgets and technology to assist them.

He said it is our collective responsibility to support these children.

The Prime Minister announced to provide fifteen coasters to the Rehabilitation Centre for the transportation of children with special needs.

Earlier briefing was given to PM about the project. He met autism affected children.
