Lahore: The Government of Punjab's initiatives for the revival of the theatre industry and the elimination of obscenity have received widespread appreciation from stage artists and the artistic community. Theatre performers expressed their gratitude to Punjab's Minister of Information, Azma Bokhari, and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, calling their efforts a "new life for the theatre industry."

Agha Majid praised the government's steps, stating, "The Punjab government has taken exceptional

measures to revive theatre plays. Minister of Information Azma Bokhari personally visited various theatres, showcasing her dedication and hard work. We will strive to meet the government's expectations and fully comply with the set SOPs." He further added, "We will support Azma Bokhari, and she will support us." Renowned stage artist Amanat Chan also applauded the efforts of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Azma Bokhari. He said, "Finally, someone has paid attention to the theatre industry. With Azma Bokhari's efforts, Pakistan's theatre will once again gain popularity on the global stage. We congratulate Maryam Nawaz on her remarkable performance in her first year." He also highlighted, "Maryam Nawaz set a great example by financially assisting artist Lucky Dear."

Stage actress Saima Khan welcomed the decision of live monitoring of dramas. She said, "Live monitoring of plays is a positive step toward eliminating obscenity. We are grateful to Azma Bokhari for her work to improve the theater industry and will do our best to meet the standards set by her initiatives."

Tahir Naushad echoed this sentiment, stating, "We stand with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Minister of Information Azma Bokhari in their mission to promote the theater industry. All male and female actors will work in compliance with government SOPs to ensure the theater industry provides clean and wholesome entertainment." The artistic community extended special thanks to Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz for providing 2.5 million rupees in financial assistance to actor Lucky Dear. They expressed optimism that the government's actions would lead the theatre industry into a new era of success and prosperity.
