Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif while condemning strongly the storming of Al-Aqsa mosque by Israeli ministers has said it is attack on collective conscience of humanity. In a post on his X handle, he said this sacrilege against one of Islam's holiest sites is not only an insult of the faith of over a billion Muslims but also a direct assault on international law and the collective conscience of humanity. Such organized provocations by the occupying power cause harm to prospects for peace.

Israel's shameless actions were deliberately fueling tensions in Palestine and the wider region, and drifting the Middle East closer to further instability and conflict. PM has once again stressed upon immediate ceasefire in Gaza as per international law and respective resolutions of UN, cessation of all aggression and efforts for credible peace process.
