Supdt Adiala jail files detailed reply in IHC on petition regarding closure of Imran Khan X account

Islamabad: Superintendent Adiala jail has filed his detailed reply in Islamabad High Court (IHC) on the petition seeking closure of Imran Khan X account.

According to jail authorities the impression about operating PTI founder X account from inside jail is wrong. All the speculations made in this regard are baseless.

Superintendent Adiala jail made it clear in his reply PTI founder is under strict surveillance in jail. The question of possessing any mobile phone or any prohibited thing by him stands ruled out.

It has been further said in the reply filed in the court that no prohibited thing including mobile phone is permissible under jail rules. While mobile phone signals jammers are installed inside the jail. Due to it the mobile signals remain completely shut inside jail and around it.

Superintendent Adiala jail further told in his reply that PTI founder and the staff deployed on him are searched permanently. Therefore, any access to prohibited facility by them is next to nil.

Jail rule 265 stops PTI founder from any political conversation. However visiting families and his lawyers remain engaged in political talks some time by violating the law during jail trial.

Superintendent Adiala jail took the plea the political directives given by PTI founder from jail in the past fanned violence in the society on several occasions. But his X account is not being operated from inside jail.

He said this account is being run by some one outside jail. Neither the facilities like mobile nor internet are available in jail. Facilities are available to PTI founder as have been provided under jail rules or court's orders.
