LAHORE: Punjab Governor Baligh ur Rehman said Tuesday the supremacy of constitution and law will benefit everyone.

Talking about recent political developments in Punjab, the governor said the Chief Minister failed to obtain a vote of confidence by the provincial assembly within constitutional timeframe. Therefore, the chief minister and his cabinet were de-notified, he said.

Baligh said the government was running as per Lahore High Court’s interim orders. Hopefully, the court will decide the case soon, he said.
