ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said tax payers will be given awards." government is focusing on lessening the burden of taxes on poor people and integrating the elite class into tax net. Government is taking steps for the betterment of common man , he said this while addressing a news conference in Islamabad on MondayHe held government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is making all out efforts to address the economic challenges. He said the efforts include privatization of PIA, outsourcing of airports, cutting down government expenditures and increasing the tax base.He remarked action will be taken against the tax evaders.He said roadmaps are being prepared to improve the economy and the results will be visible soon.The Information Minister underlined the ministers, on the instructions of the Prime Minister, are also visiting the Utility Stores to monitor the implementation of Ramadan package.Turning to the political situation, Attau llah Tarar said advised the PTI to engage in positive politics and play its role for the Charter of Economy.Responding to a question, the Minister said the government is focusing to fast track China Pakistan Economic Corridor project.Responding to another question, he said welfare of journalists is responsibility of state and the government is committed to this end.He said the government is taking steps to provide relief to the underprivileged segment of the society.He held news of formation of forward bloc in PTI are coming. They are clashing with each other. The party is passing through wear and tear process. Gohar Khan says one thing and Sher Afzal says some other thing. Some says they have to join MWM and some says sunni ittehad council has to be joined.It is my advice PTI should leave internal politics and come to charter of economy. They should play thie role in resolving the problems facing the country.Talking of Atchison college fee issue he said the matter is being given wrong colour. The children of Ahad Cheema had shifted to Islamabad and these children were not studying in Atchison college since three years.Ahad Cheema had applied for remission of fee during holidays period which was approved by govenor house as per law, he added.
