KOHAT : Ten children drowned Sunday after a boat carrying tourists capsized in Tanda Dam in Kohat.

According to media reports, the boat was carrying at least 30 people including children, and Efforts were underway to rescue the victims till last reports.

According to Rescue 1122, 18 students have been rescued while eight are under treatment in a hospital.

Madrasah students of the village Mir Badshah Khel reportedly came to the Dam for a picnic.

Last year, at least 20 people died, most of them women, and another 30 were missing after a boat carrying more than 100 people capsized in the Indus river in Rahimyar Khan district.
