Terrorists attacked Jaffar Express traveling from Quetta to Peshawar, held passengers hostage

Quetta: Terrorists have attacked Jaffar Express traveling from Quetta to Peshawar and have taken passengers hostage. Following reports of gunfire and injuries on Jaffar Express, emergency medicines have been provided at Civil Hospital Quetta.Medical Superintendent (MS) of Civil Hospital Quetta, Dr. Hadi Kakar, on the directives of Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar and Balochistan Health Secretary Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, has vacated wards and arranged immediate medical facilities to handle any emergency situation.Dr. Hadi Kakar further stated that an emergency has been declared at Civil Hospital Quetta, and doctors along with additional medical staff have been summoned to the operation theaters. Additional doctors and healthcare staff have also been called in for assistance.Meanwhile, according to railway officials, Jaffar Express consists of nine bogies and is carrying approximately 450 passengers. There has been no communication with the passengers or the train crew. They said that Jaffar Exp ress departed from Quetta at 9:00 AM. Reports indicate that one of the drivers has been injured due to the attackers' gunfire.Despite that the location is situated in far flung area and quite away from the road, the security forces have cordoned off the entire area and launched clearance operation. The terrorists are also in touch with their facilitators abroad. However, the operation would continue till the terrorists are eliminated.Targeting innocent passengers by terrorists reflects that they have nothing to do with Islam, Pakistan and Balochistan.
