Islamabad: Law minister Azam Nazir Tarar has said there is freedom of expression to every citizen under article 19 of the constitution but if some one crosses red line then action will be taken.

" every citizen enjoys freedom of expression under article 19 of the constitution but there are some restrictions on this freedom under law. Care is must on the matters like Islam, sovereignty and national security. Commenting irresponsibly on Pakistan relations with the friendly countries is not appropriate. If some one crosses red line then action will be taken

Information minister Atta Ullah Tarar, law minister Azam Nazir Tarar and state minister for interior Talal Chaudhry held a joint press conference.

Atta Ullah Tarar said Pakistan has close friendly relations with the countries in the region. Unnecessary comments on social media regarding foreign policy can prove harmful.

Making negative vlogs on relations between two countries to seek views and spreading sensation is not service to country. Such attitudes can affect Pakistan global stature.

In other countries what is said in media is considered state policy in other countries. Therefore care is must in giving comments on social and electronic media.
