Islamabad: Information Minister Atta Ullah Tarar has said all the necessary facilities related to health have been provided to PTI founder as per law and constitution earlier and these will remain available to him in future as well.

He said this while addressing a press conference with state minister for interior Talal Chaudhry here in Islamabad.

He said Supreme Court (SC) decision has come to fore with reference to PTI founder. Government will file review petition in this regard. Review petition regarding treatment in private hospital will also be submitted.

Information minister said PML-N has never played politics on the matter of health. However history bears witness that PTI leaders made the matters of health of PML-N leadership subject of political debate. PML-N leadership has never said any thing about the health of PTI founder.

He made it clear it is right of every prisoner health facilities be provided to him as per law and constitution. The health facilities were provided to PTI founder earlier and these would continue to be provided to him in future too.

There is no ambiguity on the matter of health. Health facilities are provided to prisoners as per jail manual. This process will continue in the matter of PTI founder.

Health matter should remain separate from politics. Government will ensure provision of health facilities as per law, constitution and jail manual instead of giving it political color.

He said review petition should be filed. This should be made clear is this right available to all prisoners. This is legal matter and there should be no politicking over it.
