Lahore: Tremors of earthquake were felt in Lahore and different cities of Punjab causing panic among the people.

Tremors were felt in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara, Kasur, Gujranwala , Muridkay and other cities.

According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC), Islamabad, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.4, with its epicenter located 25 kilometers southwest of Lahore, at the coordinates 31.33°N and 74.23°E, and at a depth of 14 kilometers.

People rushed out of their homes and offices reciting Kalima Tayyaba.

According to RESCUE sources no report on loss of life or property has been received so far in consequence of earth quake.

On the other side Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has said the administration all over the Punjab is busy in checking buildings. Machinery and staff has been put on high alert to deal with after shocks.
