Islamabad: In a post on his X account, retired Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General (retd.) Muhammad Saeed commented on the stance of the Tehreek e Taliban Afghanistan (TTA), saying the group is demonstrating 'geographical ignorance and sheer ignorance.'

He added that Pakistan would welcome it if the TTA shifted bilateral trade and transit trade routes to another country. 'If the TTA transfers bilateral trade and transit trade to any other country, Pakistan will be pleased,' Lt Gen (retd.) Saeed wrote.

He further said that if the TTA were to halt all movement across the border, 'Pakistan would also welcome that.'
