Islamabad: Opposition Alliance Tehreek-e-Tahafaz Ayeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP) has staged protest outside parliament house in connection with country wide protest movement against 27th constitutional amendment.

27th constitutional amendment was given the status of law following its approval from parliament on November 13. The opposition parties had severely criticized it. This law introduced several structural changes in judiciary and army. Legal circles, former and sitting judges dubbed it attack on independence of judiciary.

TTAP had pledged on Friday they would stage strong protest to restore the constitution to its original shape. Under this project the allied parties parliamentarians assembled outside parliament house and they voiced protest.

The demonstrators were carrying banners inscribed with slogans " Aamriyat Murda Bad, Jamhooriat zinda bad, 27th constitutional amendment rejected and slavery of judiciary is slavery of people.

Chairman TTAP Mehmood Khan Achakzai, chairman Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen and vice chairman TTAP Senator Raja Nasir Abbas and PTI secretary general Suleman Akram Raja and former speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar participated in the protest.
