UAE always helped Pakistan in difficult times: PM Shehbaz

ISLAMABAD: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed keen interest in cooperation and investment in plasma fractionation facility and digitization of health sector in Pakistan.

The interest was shown by a delegation of Hayat Biotech and Sino-Pharm led by Counsel General of UAE’s Sheikh Ahmed Dalmouk Al Maktoum during a meeting with Prime Minister Main Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Minister for National Health Services Abdul Qadir Patel and relevant senior officials attended the meeting.

The meeting was informed that this modern plasma fractionation facility will help save millions of lives in Pakistan as currently due to lack of this facility three million liters of blood collected annually in the country cannot be fully utilized.

The Prime Minister directed all relevant institutions to provide every possible assistance to the investing companies regarding the project.

Underlining the decades old cordial ties between the two countries, the Prime Minister said UAE always helped Pakistan in difficult times.

He thanked Sheikh Ahmad Dilmuk Al Maktoum for his keen interest in cooperation with Pakistan in the health sector.
