Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has expressed serious concern and strongly condemned the passing of the Waqf Amendment Bill in Lok Sabha of the Indian Parliament, calling it a direct interference in religious freedom and the fundamental rights of the Muslim community in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and India.
According to Media Reports , APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minahs in a statement in Srinagar said that Waqf Amendment Bill passed by the Bharatiya Janata Party government, is very unfortunate and an attack on Muslim community to bow them on Hindutva policies.
This is a deliberate attempt to weaken and encroach Muslim religious and community institutions, he added.
Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in his remarks on social media said, 'The BJP has paved the way for the seizure of the Waqf property of mosques by passing the controversial Waqf Amendment Bill 2025 in violation of Articles 25 and 26 of the Indian Constitution.
