Islamabad: Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar has said we have been told notification in respect of opposition leader Senate will be issued in day or two;.

Talking to media men outside Supreme Court (SC) Barrister Gohar said PTI founder nominated both of the leaders as opposition leader. Therefore, it is better if notification of both is issued.

To a question from journalist JUI-F is saying notification of opposition leader was issued at the behest of Nawaz Sharif,

Barrister Gohar said notification of opposition leader is at the discretion of the speaker National Assembly and he has issued it. Our endeavor was that notification of opposition leader should be issued and whosoever has got it done it has been done better.

To my view the notification was issued by speaker NA and we are grateful to him.

To a question from the journalist why PTI members have not participated in previous meetings of Judicial Commission (JC).

Barrister Gohar said the position of JC was changed following 27th constitutional amendment. We too did not want to participate in JC meeting earlier due to our reservations on the 26th constitutional amendment. But we wanted whosoever judges come we should remain part of this process so that we could present our stance.

He said ever since 27th constitutional amendment and new court was formed., meeting with PTI founder has not taken place so far.

If meeting with PTI founder takes place then we will move ahead after negotiating with him.

Barrister Gohar said the way we boycotted remaining committees we did not attend JC meeting too. Final decision to participate in JC meeting will be made after meeting with PTI founder.
