Islamabad: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has termed the statement given by opposition leader Mehmood Khan Achakzai in National Assembly (NA) about army irresponsible.

Speaking in NA session Wednesday he said leader of the opposition said Pakistan army is army of four districts. There can be no bigger irresponsible statement than this. We could not expect such statement from Mehmood Khan Achakzai. It really hurt me.

As per media reports, he held Mehmood Khan Achakzai should not attack like this. Pakistan army is not army of any province or district. We are suffering loss daily in this war on terrorism. Over 200 terrorists have been killed in Balochistan.

He said blood shed is not allowed in Islam. Our soldiers are beheaded. Pakistan army is upholding its oath with blood.

We politicians are living in grey areas. We change parties but martyrs have not changed parties.

We are fighting for our interests and for power.

if I cross the line drawn by blood then I have no right to sit in this house.

He regretted Punjabi laborers are murdered after seeing their national identity cards;. But it was not given the color of provincialism.

Challenge my statistics that this is army of four districts. such irresponsible statement is insult of this office . This is war of the entire nation and not of any district.
