Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique on Sunday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government may collapse down before completing its constitutional term due to its own incompetency and mishandling.

Addressing a ceremony here in Lahore, Khawaja Saad Rafique said that local body institutions are democracy’s backbone. “But government is leaving no stone in devastating local body institutions” he said.

Saad Rafique, while talking about banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik (TLP)’s long march said that his party didn’t support such violent protest. He prayed for settlement between government and banned TLP. “France was unmoved but national assets were ruined during protest” he said.

He said that PML-N government had turned Lahore into ‘city of flowers’ which has been turned into ‘trash’ by PTI government.

Saad said that cases against him and his brother were clearly politically motivated. His party only wants Pakistan to grow and ‘get back on track’ he concluded.
