ISLAMABAD: Advisor on Finance Shaukat Tarin has said that income tax and GST will have to be paid and the remaining all taxes will be excluded.

“We will finalize work on the system for ending harassment and FBR is main cause in delaying it”, he said this while addressing Kamyab Jawan Convention in Islamabad on Monday

“The traders all over the country had come to meet me. I said to the traders that we all have to pay tax because if you don’t pay tax then you have no right to vote. Income tax and GST will have to be paid and remaining all taxes will be removed by the government”, he remarked.

We will not coerce but we will implore that tax should be paid, he added.

If people have no money in SME and IT sector then we will provide finances to , he observed.

He said Kamyab Jawan Program has been started with the same purpose to exploit the potential of the youth. So far over 800,000 applications have been received under the program, he added

The Advisor said that interest free agriculture and business loans are being provided under another initiative of Kamyab Pakistan Program which has been started to uplift about four million marginalized families.

Later when he was questioned during his chat with the journalists that if the Prime Minister needs to talk to MDIFF he said there is no need to talk to MDIF.

To a question if gas subsidy is being withdrawn, he said they should contact energy minister in this regard.

He left the journalists without giving reply to the issue of sugar.
