Past violations of merit destroyed education system: Ali Muhammad Khan

Mardan : Federal Minister for State and Parliamentary Affairs Ali Mohamamd Khan on Thursday said that in the past, violation of merit destroyed the education system.

He expressed these views while addressing the inauguration of a new hostel at University of Engineering and Technology (UET).

Faculty members and students attended the function. Member provincial assembly Zahir Shah Toru and Vice chancellor professor Dr. Shahid Khattak also addressed the function.

Addressing the function, the university vice chancellor gave a briefing about the university and the continued under construction works.

Ali Mohammad Khan added that the previous rulers had made universities employment centers. He added that the country can develop only by making teachers VIPs.

He added that nations who give respect to their teachers are looked upon with respect and dignity. He added that according to the vision of the Prime Minister, higher education opportunities are being provided to students at their doorsteps.

Ali Mohammad added that we can move the country forward by focusing on quality education.

He added that the establishment of the only government girl’s cadet college in Mardan is a gift. He added that Ehsas program is for poor students. Later on the federal minister distributed cheques under Ehsas program among the poor students.
