Lahore: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that PTI has become a stronger political force than ever before, adding that people have lost faith in the opposition.

During his visit to Sahiwal on Monday, Sarwar said that government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan is not pursuing any political or personal agenda; rather it is pursuing a policy of making the country safe and stable. ‘Kamyab Jawan’, ‘Ehsaas Program’ and all government projects including Sehat Insaf Card aim to uplift the vulnerable stratum and ensure that they have access to basic facilities such as health and education.

The governor said that if opposition is serious about making the electoral process in Pakistan transparent, then why they don’t support the government on electoral reforms, adding that unfortunately, the opposition instead of prioritizing the interest of the country and the people, is prioritizing political and personal interests. He said that opposition’s agenda is to pursue political gains.

Sarwar further said that due to the ‘anti-people’ decisions of the previous governments, Pakistan has been facing problems in all sectors including economy and the PTI has taken practical steps to save Pakistan from economic bankruptcy after coming to power, adding that even today the opposition parties are spreading negative propaganda to obstruct the country’s development and prosperity, but the fact is that Pakistan’s economic growth and stability is being recognized by all international economic institutions.
