Islamabad: 10 persons of a family were killed and 13 were injured after fire flared up in Toyota Hiace carrying the tourists. The injured were shifted to hospital in critical condition.

The ill fated family was going to Murree from Multan when the van hit the corner near Khajot on the Murree Expressway on Wednesday.

Those sitting in vehicle could not find opportunity to come out of van.

On information the Rescue teams and Motorway police and Murree administration rushed to the scene.

Spokesperson of Motorway Police has confirmed the report of 10 casualties and injured persons.

According to spokesperson the van plunged into nullah while making turn. The fire flared up in the van immediately and the van fell into that side from where it was impossible to open the door. However the bodies and injured were shifted to PIMS Islamabad.

According to spokesperson the victims belong to one family who were on their way from Multan to Murree. 10 children were among those sitting in van.
