Alibaba Cloud and Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan sign MoU to advance AI and cloud skills development in Pakistan

Lahore: Alibaba Cloud and Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish dedicated Alibaba Cloud Training Centers in Pakistan under Alkhidmat's flagship 'Bano Qabil' platform, aimed at equipping Pakistani youth with globally recognized skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud computing.The MoU was signed by Hank Shao on behalf of Alibaba Cloud authorised partner and Naveed Ali Baig on behalf of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan.The collaboration has been formalized between Alibaba Cloud (Singapore) Private Limited and Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, with support from Cognix Solutions Private Limited, Alibaba Cloud's authorized partner in Pakistan.Under the agreement, two dedicated Alibaba Cloud Training Centers will be established in Pakistan, one at the Bano Qabil Incubation Center in Karachi and the other at the Bano Qabil Innovation Center in Lahore. These centers will deliver Alibaba Cloud's AI and cloud computing curriculum, enabling participants to p ursue internationally recognized professional certification pathways.As part of the collaboration, Alibaba Cloud will also conduct ongoing faculty training and certification programs to ensure instructors are trained according to international standards and continuously updated with evolving technological advancements.The partnership will further include recurring AI Hackathons under the theme AI for Pakistan's Future, providing young Pakistanis with opportunities to develop innovative and practical technology-driven solutions for challenges of national importance. Outstanding teams will receive recognition and support for their ideas.Alkhidmat Foundation's Bano Qabil platform has emerged as one of Pakistan's leading accelerated learning initiatives, with more than 1.15 million registered students and over 90,000 graduates successfully certified in various programs nationwide.The collaboration has been established on a non-commercial basis with the objective of promoting long-term digital skills devel opment, enhancing employability opportunities for youth, and contributing to Pakistan's growing digital economy.The MoU is being regarded as a significant step toward strengthening Pakistan's technological ecosystem and preparing a future-ready workforce equipped with advanced AI and cloud computing capabilities.
