Lahore: A program for the distribution of marriage dowry boxes to 30 deserving girls from needy families was organized under the auspices of Alkhidmat Women Trust Lahore. The ceremony was presided over by Deputy Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Women's Wing, Samina Saeed.Addressing the event, Samina Saeed appreciated the marriage box initiative of Alkhidmat Women Trust and said: 'This act of Alkhidmat Women Trust is not merely about giving dowry, but reflects a great spirit of sharing the sorrows of deserving families and becoming a part of their happiness.'She said that such welfare efforts are extremely necessary in our society so that the honorable marriages of girls from poor households can become possible. She added that Alkhidmat Women Trust has an exemplary record of continuous service in this regard and, due to this initiative, thousands of orphaned and destitute girls have been able to settle into their homes.She further said that this program has not only reduced financial burdens but ha s also strengthened the trends of hope, cooperation, and goodness at the social level. She added that institutions like Jamaat-e-Islami and Alkhidmat serve as centers of hope for the deprived segments of society, and such practical service is a remarkable example of humanity.At the ceremony, the General Manager of Alkhidmat Women Trust Pakistan, Zarafshan Farheen, offered special prayers for the girls who were about to be married. She said: 'We pray that Allah blesses the married lives of these girls with happiness, peace, and love; may their homes be filled with blessings, harmony, and goodness forever.'She added that Alkhidmat Women Trust is at the forefront of such exemplary welfare work and, with the cooperation of generous donors, continues to fill the fabric of society with goodness and welfare.At the end of the program, participants described this welfare initiative of Alkhidmat Women Trust as a ray of hope for society and expressed their best wishes for its continuation.The ceremony was attend ed by Vice President of Alkhidmat Women Trust Lahore Saba Saqib, General Manager Alkhidmat Women Trust Pakistan Zarafshan Farheen, social activist Ruqayya Jabeen, Talaat Khan, In-charge Marriage Box Program, and other distinguished guests.
