Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought report from ministry of religious affairs on the matter of announcement of Eid moon sighting.

The court has sought report on the petition filed by a citizen seeking early announcement following the sighting the Eid moon.

Chief Justice IHC remarked the announcement will be made when moon is sighted. Earlier the evidences regarding moon sighting are collected from all the four provinces. Meeting is held and then announcement is made. Due it the process takes time.

He further remarked announcement cannot be made without sighting the moon. Ok we seek report.

The court while seeking report from the ministry of religious affairs adjourned the hearing of the case. However no date was given for next hearing.
