Arrest of Zain Qureshi from within parliament: IHC directs state counsel to see rules and file report within a week

Islamabad: In the case of arrest of PTI Member of National Assembly (MNA) Zain Qureshi from parliament , Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed state counsel to see the rules of National Assembly (NA) and file the report within a week.The court also remarked IG and Chief Commissioner (CC) will tell how the police entered into parliament.Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamer Farooq remarked arrest from within the parliament is illegal. Why he was arrested this way. What was legal way. There are privileges and rules of parliament on making arrest from parliament which will have to be seen.He gave these remarks during hearing of the case against arrest of MNA Zain Qureshi from parliament Tuesday.The report from NA secretariat, police and administration could not be filed despite court's orders.Barrister Taimore Malik and Faeza Malik counsels for Zain Qureshi appeared in the court.The court while giving time of one week to state counsel to file report inquired how the arrest was made from inside the parlia ment.
