Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar Advocate has lauded Pakistan Army for carrying out historic operation to rescue the students in Wana.

Talking to media persons in the Parliament House in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said Pak Army rescued more than five hundred students in Wana. He said the entire world will remember the historic operation of the Pakistan Army and the Wana operation will be taught in the military academies across the world.

Attaullah Tarar said it is a message for the enemy is that Pakistan defeated an enemy four times bigger than it. He said the enemy has now fled from field and this proxy war is not a problem for us.

Regarding the 27th Constitutional Amendment, the Information Minister said the Amendment will definitely be passed if it is tabled. He wished that the opposition would have had a candid discussion and clause-wise debate on this Amendment. He said creating rumpus and building a narrative without reading the bill has absolutely no worth.

Meanwhile Attaullah Tarar has said the 27th Constitutional Amendment is aimed at further strengthening governance and defence as well as ensuring the effective delivery of justice.

Speaking in the National Assembly on Wednesday, he said a detailed discussion was held on the constitutional amendment. He regretted that the opposition did not give any suggestion on it.

He said the PTI does not become part of the political process rather indulges in political point scoring.

The Information Minister mentioned that stature of Pakistan has increased significantly in the world due to its success in the recent conflict with India and the economic recovery.

He said remittances are witnessing record surge with the country receiving 3.4 billion dollars in the month of October which was eleven percent higher than the same period last year. He also commended the security forces for their successes in the fight against terrorism.
