Lahore: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) has foiled bid to smuggle ice outside the country by absorbing it in pages of books. ANF while conducting raid in courier office located on Mall Road Lahore recovered 13 kilogram ice from books.

On a tip off a parcel which was being dispatched to Australia was taken into possession and was checked. The checking revealed that ice was absorbed in the pages of books.

According to media reports, ANF staff confirmed presence of absorbed ice in pages of books with the help of drugs testing device.

Parcel was booked by one Fazal Rehman, resident of Peshawar. Parcel was taken into possession and sent to laboratory for separating drugs. ANF is taking further action to arrest the accused.
