Lahore: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, on Saturday visited Campsite Vista Central Park, Ferozepur Road, and Campsite Government Boys High School (GBHS) Bengali, Barki Road, Lahore. The purpose of the visit was to review the process of providing free SIMs to deserving women under the Social Protection Wallet.Senator Rubina Khalid interacted with the women present at the campsites and ensured the provision of free SIMs in her presence. She clearly instructed the women that these SIMs are absolutely free of cost and that no money should be given to anyone in this regard.Quran recitation was also held at the GBHS Bengali, Barki Road, Lahore campsite to pay homage to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Addressing the women on this occasion, the Chairperson BISP said that today marks the death anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, who was a courageous leader and made great sacrifices for women's rights, dedicating her life to the struggle for truth and justic e. She stated that the Social Protection Wallet is being entrusted to women as a responsibility, which they must safeguard with utmost care.Senator Rubina Khalid advised the women not to share their wallet information with anyone and to ensure the protection of their SIM cards and mobile phones. She clarified that BISP will continue to take strict action under its zero-tolerance policy to protect the rights of deserving women.The Chairperson BISP also issued clear instructions to the staff to take immediate action on complaints from women whose funds have been deducted, stating that negligence in this regard will not be tolerated. She further said that all future installments will be transferred to the women's digital wallets through these same SIMs.
