Charsadda: Police in Charsadda have detained 15 Afghan nationals during a crackdown launched under the federal government's Arrest and Deportation Policy targeting illegal foreign nationals.
According to police sources, the operation was carried out in the City Circle area, where the detained Afghan nationals are currently undergoing profiling and verification of their identity and travel documents.
Officials said individuals found without valid legal documents would face deportation in accordance with the government's policy.
Under the procedure, those detained will first be shifted to a holding centre before being repatriated to Afghanistan after completion of the required legal formalities.
Police said the operation against undocumented Afghan nationals is continuing and further arrests are expected.
