Islamabad: Defence minister Khawaja Asif has said Chief Minister (CM) and Governor KP will not be allowed to strike deal independently with Afghanistan.
" If they have to give some suggestion, they should give it to federation which will be respected, defence minister said this while reacting to statements from CM and Governor KP during his media talk here Monday.
Khawaja Asif said the matter of defence and foreign affairs is very clear in the constitution. Holding talks with Afghanistan is matter of federation legally and constitutionally. We will not allow CM and Governor KP to strike deal with Afghanistan independently.
if they want to go for deal with Afghanistan independently, federation will not allow it.
Such act is neither permitted by constitution nor by law. No one can impose one's opinion on federation.
If CM and governor KP want to give some opinion then they should give their opinion and stance in the meetings. They should tell federal government what can be solution to this issue in their view. We will respect their opinion.
