Contempt of court notice issued to CPO RWP, SSP, SHO for not arranging meeting of his counsels with PTI founder

Rawalpindi: Judge Amjid Ali Shah of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) No 1 Rawalpindi has issued contempt of court notice to CPO Rawalpindi, SSP Operations and SHO New town police station for not arranging meeting of his counsels with incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala jail despite court's orders.The court has directed these three police officers to file reply today (Tuesday).The court on the petition of counsels for PTI founder had directed New Town police to arrange meeting of his lawyers with former chairman PTI and the counsels for former chairman PTI had got received the court's orders by New town police .Muhammad Faisal Malik, Ghulam Hasnain, Murtaza Sunmbal and Raja Murtaza counsels for PTI in May 9 cases had taken plea in the petition filed by them in the court as they want to challenge court's order regarding physical remand of former chairman PTI in case number 2831 of police station New town and they have to seek necessary directives from PTI former chairman in case No 708 , GHQ attac k case registered in police station R A Bazar , therefore, jail superintendent be directed to arrange their meeting with PTI founder immediately.The court while wrapping up petition directed jail superintendent to assist counsels for the accused in arranging their meeting with Rashid Kiyani, investigation officer of case in jail.However meeting of the counsels was not arranged with PTI founder in jail.
