Islamabad: After preliminary hearing, Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved judgment on petition filed by convict in murder case Muhammad Irfan praying that he be provided facilities in Adiala jail at par with PTI founder.

The petitioner is serving sentence in Adiala jail.

Justice Muhammad Azam Khan remarked during hearing of the case we will issue order on it.

Counsel Naveed Malik advocate appeared in the court on behalf of the criminal Muhammad Irfan.

He took the plea that his client is serving sentence of 25 years term in murder case in jail. Application was given to superintendent Adiala Jail for providing superior class facilities several times but no facility has been provided.

Counsel Naveed Malik said PTI founder has been provided not only the best facilities in jail but also he is allowed to hold meeting with family members and others. But my client has been kept deprived of these facilities.

The petitioner requested the court that the same facilities be extended to his client in jail which have been provided to Imran Khan.

Interior secretary, superintendent Adiala jail, chief commissioner Islamabad and home department have been made respondents in the petition.

The court reserved judgment on maintainability of the petition following completion of preliminary arguments.
