Islamabad: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the staff-level agreement reached between Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) under the Extended Fund Facility and Resilience and Sustainability Facility.

In a statement, PM Shehbaz Sharif said this staff-level agreement reflects the improvement in Pakistan's macroeconomic indicators, emphasizing this also signifies the IMF's confidence in the rapidly improving economic situation of the country.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said the IMF's satisfaction with the pace of Pakistan's economic growth and institutional reforms is a testament to the trust in the government's policies.

The Prime Minister was appreciative of the efforts of the Finance Minister and his team, which led to the agreement with the IMF.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said the economy is moving in the right direction. He said the government will take all necessary steps for the development and prosperity of Pakistan.
