Court sends TLP leader to jail on judicial remand in the case for issuing fatwa against CJP

Lahore: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore has sent Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) leader Maulana Muhammad Tahir Saifi to jail on 14 days judicial remand in the case of issuing fatwa (decree) against Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).The court rejected the plea for extension in physical remand of the accused.Judge Irfan Haider of ATC Lahore took up the case for hearing Friday.Police presented the accused in the court .The investigating officer requested the court to grant more physical remand of the accused.The court rejected the pleaThe accused is charged with threatening and issuing fatwa against the CJP.The case against the accused is registered in police station A-Division Sheikhupura.
