Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Khawaja Muhammad Saad Rafique has said that the cross-border terrorism coming from Afghan soil to Pakistan must be stopped at all costs.
In a statement issued on X on Sunday, Khawaja Saad Rafique said that Pakistan has repeatedly pointed out to the Afghan government the Afghan bases of TTP and the operations against Pakistan from Afghan soil with evidence. For the bright future and mutual survival of Afghanistan and Pakistan, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan must step back from the patronage of TTP, control them or settle them, do not export them to us. Our mutual cooperation will guarantee prosperity, development and security in the region. Afghanistan will only get deception from India like Iran. The war-torn Afghan people and the terror-stricken Pakistani people want peace and development.
Khawaja Saad Rafique said that the Pakistani and Afghan people are bound by religious, social and cultural ties. The basis of the dispute must be ended. Before any other global or regional power enters the fray, China, Saudi Arabia, and Iran may play a mediating role between the two countries – these mediators can listen to the grievances of both sides and find a path to peace and coexistence.
