Lahore: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami North Punjab, Dr. Tariq Saleem, has said that the dignity of the Muslim Ummah depends on electing honest leadership committed to implementing the system of Mustafa (peace be upon him). He said for the past 79 years, feudal and capitalist elites have deprived the people of Pakistan of their basic rights, while successive governments issued NOCs to illegal housing societies, which have resulted in widespread destruction and homelessness after recent floods.Addressing the congregation of Markzi Tarbiyt Gah at Mansoorah, Dr. Tariq Saleem emphasized that Islam's welfare system ensures justice and the protection of humanity's rights. He said the mission of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was to bring mankind out of oppression and into justice. He urged the people of Pakistan to rise against the mafias and oppressive system that continues to exploit the nation.Highlighting Jamaat-e-Islami's plans, Dr. Tariq Saleem announced that the grand public gathering in November will serve as a forerunner of real change in the country. He said this movement will instill a new spirit among the masses, strengthen Jamaat's public committees as platforms for solving citizens' problems, and mobilize people against heavy taxation and the unchecked privileges given to mafias.
