Dr. Anees resigns as Chairman Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Authority

ISLAMABAD:  Chairman of the Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Authority Dr. Anees Ahmed has tendered his resignation before the Prime Minister, it emerged Saturday.

 

According to sources, Authority’s period will come to an end on June 10, effectively displacing its members from their posts. Sources told  reporter  that government is preparing to present an “amendment bill” to renew the Authority, originally established by the previous PTI-led government.

 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is personally interested in continuity of the Authority, sources said, adding that a meeting was held in this regard Saturday at Ministry of Education.
