Islamabad: Election Commission (EC) has issued interim order in the case of violation of election code of conduct against the Chief Minister (CM) KP Sohail Afridi.
As per media reports the commission maintained the notice to CM KP for appearing before it in person.
The commission directed the respondents to file written reply to the notices.
EC told in his written order that Ali Bokhari appeared on behalf of CM KP Sohail Afridi. Request was made for exemption from appearance.
EC accepted Sohail Afridi plea for exemption from appearance for the said day.
The order said CM KP should appear in person on next hearing which would take place on November 25.
It was further said in the decision according to DM report CM KP violated clause 10 and 18 of election code of conduct and he used threatening language against officers of EC.
A complaint was filed too by PML-N candidate Babar Nawaz Khan from NA-18.
